Shot of the Week: Wisteria

Huzzah, Wisteria macrostachya 'Blue Moon' is in full bloom here at Squirrelhaven. After undergoing a severe whacking back last year, it has responded with more bloom racemes than ever. The bees and I are very happy. Have a great weekend!

My wisteria isn't blooming yet, but I think it will be the best year ever. I have never seen so many buds! Unfortunately I do not remember the variety. I planted it in 1990 but it did not bloom for nearly 15 years.

I don't have a spot for wisteria, but I sure love the blooms. Yours sure is a beautiful color!

I planted 'Blue Moon' two years ago and am looking forward to flowers - maybe I'll get one or two in the next month?! Thanks for sharing your photo. It's so nice to have a hardy wisteria available.
