I may not be attending the 2011 Chicago Flower and Garden Show, but I'm represented there by three of my photos. This is the first time I've entered the photography competition. The image above, entered in the category of people and plants at a baseball game, garnered an award of merit and the shiny yellow ribbon. Thanks goes to Rose of Ramble on Rose for taking the above shot* for me while she was at the show.
If you attend the show, look for my other entries in the landscape category,
and the still life category.
The show runs through March 13, 2011, at Navy Pier in Chicago.
*I should have indicated that the photo she took was very clear. I intentionally blurred the tag to protect the privacy of the subject of the photo.

Well I see why you won a yellow ribbon! These are all wonderful. I love the landscape one.
Congratulations! They are all wonderful.
Congratulations! How wonderful for you. Good job.
Good for you!! A hobby turned avocation! ;-) Nice work, MMD.
Congrats Barbara. I thought your prize photo was the best at showing the theme of the Flower Show since it was sports. I was there with Rose and Beckie. We were happy when we spotted your photos. Bravo!
This is totally wonderful! Congratulations on your continued blooming good photography, Barbara, it's always a treat to see.
Congrats, MMD
I was there but I guess I missed the artwork. I would have loved to see it.

Great photos! Congratulations on your award.
I'm sorry you can't see the name plate better in that picture! I had a hard time getting the photo in the shot and focusing on the text underneath it, obviously!
Congrats, I see why you won. Lovely.
Congratulations, MMD! I did see all your entries and even took a photo of the coneflowers with the bee photo. The one of your daughter certainly deserved a ribbon. I was wondering how in the world the judges chose the winners, though; every photo I saw was prizeworthy!
Congrats! I'm excited to see that and wish I could see it in person, too.
Wonderful! Congrats! I was in Chicago last weekend, but didn't make it to the show. I really like the composition of the Peonies/Clematis photo, and the sun filtering through the tree in the landscape photo. Nice work!
Hearty congratulations, Barb! I wish I'd known about your yellow ribbon sooner; I'd have made it a point to look for your photos when I was at the show last Saturday.
Congratulations, MMD! Those are beautiful images.
Congratulations...all 3 appreciated!
Congrats, those are lovely photos.
Three cheers for your photos, MMD! Well done and kudos! Thanks to Rose for taking the shots for us all to see your work. :-)

Thanks, everyone. This makes all the trouble I put my poor husband through getting the materials for mounting the photos together & getting them mailed off.
Congratulations! Thank goodness someone else was able to take a photo of your glory moment :)
I'm so excited about coming to Seattle and meeting you at last!
Congratulations on the Yellow Ribbon. The other two photographs are lovely. gail
Well, that is just very, very cool. Congratulations!
Rose - the photo you took was perfectly clear. I should have stated that I blurred the tag before I posted it.
