There it is, the first bit of color in the bud of the Tree Peony. It won't be long now. I can hardly wait, especially after last year's disappointment of no blooms.
Hi MMD, A tree peony! We just got our new one in two weeks ago and it is growing nicely so far. How long have you had yours and about how long does it take for them to bloom? We're new to having one so anything you can pass on will be useful.... What variety do you have? We got one called 'Rimpoh,' a very simple deep red bloom with a yellow center.
It must be exciting for you waiting for the first bloom. My GF waited 10 years for her 10 cent night blooming cerious to bloom her daughter bought it at a yard sale.
You've enticed us all with that photo. They are amazing and I am in awe that you have one in your garden. No peonies at all of us down here in the heat. Can't wait to see it open up.
